Tideborn restores 5% of maximum HP at the start of your turn. It is one of our first solo recommendations for fights that last several rounds: recovery arrives without needing your attack to connect.
Our Tideborn build
We like Tideborn with Dragoon → Dragonlord for a self-sufficient solo build. The race supplies turn-start recovery while the class supplies group damage, armor penetration and Dragon’s Blood. Use an Energy-support pet to keep the expensive Ultra attacks available.
Plan this Tideborn build →Make the racial effect count
- Keep enough maximum HP to survive the enemy round; the next turn’s heal cannot undo a lethal hit.
- Use a defensive action when necessary instead of spending every turn on offense.
- Save Renewal for the round where passive recovery will not be enough.
- Check the selected armor’s complete set bonus. Verdant is a recovery option; First Light suits shorter physical fights.
Tideborn Heirloom and Heartblood locations
Use the Heirloom for the first race evolution, then collect Heartblood for later stages. Match both the race name and material type before buying or farming.

Tideborn versus other race choices
Choose Tideborn when you want steady recovery that does not depend on attack damage. Choose Nightborne when connecting strong attacks is already the center of your build. Against Fire or Burning enemies, compare Dragonborn’s protection instead.
Compare all 15 race recommendations →Does Tideborn remove the need for healing?
No. Its recovery happens at the start of your turn. A large enemy hit can still defeat you before that point, so keep enough HP and an emergency heal for the dangerous round.
